The Count setting in BookThatApp determines how booking duration is calculated - whether it’s based on days or nights.
You’ll find this setting in the Date Range section of the specific Service Configuration page, right after the Duration settings.
🗓️ Count Days
Counts each day that passes.
Example:
If you book January 1st for 1 Day, the booking runs from January 1st morning to January 1st evening.
➡️ The next day (January 2nd) remains available for booking (unless lead or lag time is applied).
🌙 Count Nights
Counts each night that passes.
Example:
If you book January 1st for 1 Night, the booking runs from January 1st evening to January 2nd morning.
➡️ January 2nd will still be available for a new booking (if no lead or lag time applies).
Either scenario would still allow January 2nd to be available for booking as long as no lead or lag time has been applied.
The Count Days or Count Nights will also impact how the selection will be represented through the Widget:
| "Count Nights" suitable for overnight bookings: |
"Count Days" suitable for full-day bookings: |
💡 Tip
Choose “Count Nights” for lodging-style products (hotels, cabins, etc.) and “Count Days” for daily activities - this ensures your availability and customer display both match real-world timing.
