If you’re seeing a “SOLD OUT” message on your booking product or in your cart when trying to rent an item, it’s usually because inventory tracking is turned ON in Shopify.
Once you’ve imported your products from Shopify and set them up in BookThatApp (BTA), the inventory should be managed by BTA, not Shopify.
That’s because BTA uses its own Capacity system to track availability.
🧭 Step 1: Turn Off Inventory Tracking in Shopify
1️⃣ In your Shopify Admin, open the product you’ve connected to BookThatApp.
2️⃣ Scroll to the Inventory section.
3️⃣ Uncheck Track quantity.
4️⃣ If your product has multiple variants, click Edit on each variant to find and uncheck this same setting.
Once this is done, BTA will correctly manage availability using your product’s capacity settings.
🧰 Step 2: Turn Off Inventory Tracking in Bulk (Optional)
If you have multiple booking products, you can update them all at once.
1️⃣ Go to Products in your Shopify Admin.
2️⃣ Select the checkboxes beside the products you want to update.
3️⃣ Click Edit products.
4️⃣ Add the Track Quantity field (if it’s not already visible).
5️⃣ Under the Track Quantity column, select Don’t track inventory from the dropdown.
6️⃣ Click Save
✅ That’s it, your booking products will now show the correct availability in BookThatApp instead of showing “SOLD OUT.”
