⚙️ Variant Actions in BookThatApp

🧭 Overview

This guide explains how to use the Variant Actions feature within the BTA product configuration screen.

This functionality lets you:

• ✅ Assign unit values per variant to define how many units count toward total capacity.

• 🚫 Hide the booking calendar for specific variants (useful when offering both rental and purchase options).

  Example: You can hide the calendar for your purchase variant while keeping it visible for rentals.

🪄 Steps to Configure Variant Actions

In the app admin, navigate to Services.

Select the Service to configure and then select "Manage" under "Variant actions".

Under "Units", assign a value to represent how many units to count towards total capacity per booking.

Typically, this is set to 1 only unless you're offering multi-pack variant-level booking.  For example if you sell a two pack, the unit value would be 2.

Under "Hide", tick the checkbox to hide the booking calendar which will allow your customers to purchase your product by selecting the "for purchase" variant that you create in Shopify.
