Counting Calendar or Weekdays

Control how rental days are calculated when customers pick date ranges. Perfect for businesses closed on weekends! 🏢

What This Does 🤔

Problem: You rent equipment but you're closed weekends. Customers shouldn't pay for Saturday/Sunday. Solution: Count Days setting only charges for weekdays! 💰

Before You Start ✅

Make sure you have:

• ✅ Product allows start & end date selection
• ✅ Rental widget shows date range picker
• ✅ "Date range updates quantity" set to Yes (in Order Processing)

Real Example 💡

Your Scenario:

• You rent cameras/equipment 📷
• Business closed weekends (Sat/Sun)
• Customer picks: Friday to Tuesday (5 calendar days)
• You want to charge: 3 days only (Fri, Mon, Tue)

Count Days setting makes this happen automatically! ⚡

How to Set It Up 🛠️

1. Go to Settings → Advanced Configuration → Advanced Settings
2. Find "Count days" under the Datepicker section
3. Choose your option:

📅 Calendar (Default)

• Counts ALL days in date range
• Includes weekends
• Friday to Tuesday = 5 days charged

💼 Weekdays (Weekend-Free!)

• Skips Saturday & Sunday
• Customers can't select weekends as end dates
• Friday to Tuesday = 3 days charged (Fri, Mon, Tue)

4. Save your changes ✅

With "Weekdays" Setting:

• Date picker blocks weekend end dates 🚫
• Only weekdays count toward rental duration
• Price automatically calculates weekdays only 💵

Quick Check ✔️

Test it out:

1. Go to your product page
2. Select a date range that includes a weekend
3. Verify only weekdays are counted in the price
4. Try selecting Saturday/Sunday as end date (should be blocked)
