What This Does π‘
Creates a search page where customers can:
- Pick their desired dates π
- Filter by product type, vendor, tags, etc. π·οΈ
- See only what's available during their timeframe β
- Book directly from search results π
Requirements π
- π Premium BookThatApp subscription (required!)
- Products using Product, Appointment, or Room profiles
- Note: Scheduled events (classes/tours) won't appear - they have a separate events calendar π
π Step 1: Enable the Search
- Go to Settings β Advanced Settings β Search Setting tab
- β Check "Enable Search"
- Click Save (page will refresh with new options)
π Note: The setting "Create Shopify Filter Form" is for a legacy (preβSearch Widget) custom-code setup we no longer implement. Since custom code doesnβt impact current widgets, most merchants wonβt need this option.
βοΈ Step 2: Configure Your Search Page
Page Display Settings
- π·οΈ Filter Block Label: What to call your filters (e.g., "Search Options")
- π¦ Products Block Label: What to call results section (e.g., "Available Products")
- π Filter Container Orientation: Horizontal or Vertical layout
- π° Currency: What currency to display prices in
Results & Limits
- π Products Per Page: How many results to show (e.g., 12, 24, 48)

β° Cutoff Days: Earliest bookable date

0= today,1= tomorrow,2= day after, etc.

- π Min Date Range: Shortest booking length (in days)
- π Max Date Range: Longest booking length (in days)
β οΈ Important: Min/Max ranges must match your product settings or they won't appear in results!
ποΈ Step 3: Set Up Search Filters
Add filters to help customers narrow down results:
Common Filter Examples:

For Each Filter:

Option: Choose filter type (Product Type, Vendor, or Custom for tags)
β οΈ Important: Options cannot contain a period (.) - Label: What customers see ("Category", "Brand", etc.)
- Values: Available options (separate with commas)
- Display As: Dropdown menu or checkboxes
- Input Name: Leave blank unless you have custom coding
π§ Step 4: Add Search to Your Store
After setup, add the search widget to your store:

- Place search bar on homepage, product pages, or dedicated search page
π Step 5: Test Your Search
- Click "View search page" button in settings
- Try different date ranges and filters
- Verify only available products show up
- Test booking process from search results
