Let customers search for available products by date! Perfect for rentals, appointments, and bookings. 📅

What This Does 💡

Creates a search page where customers can:

• Pick their desired dates 📅
• Filter by product type, vendor, tags, etc. 🏷️
• See only what's available during their timeframe ✅
• Book directly from search results 🛒

Requirements 📋

• 💎 Premium BookThatApp subscription (required!)
• Products using Product, Appointment, or Room profiles
• Note: Scheduled events (classes/tours) won't appear - they have a separate events calendar 📆

🚀 Step 1: Enable the Search

1. Go to Settings → Advanced Settings → Search Setting tab
2. ✅ Check "Enable Search"
3. Click Save (page will refresh with new options)

📝 Note: The setting "Create Shopify Filter Form" is for a legacy (pre–Search Widget) custom-code setup we no longer implement. Since custom code doesn’t impact current widgets, most merchants won’t need this option.

⚙️ Step 2: Configure Your Search Page

Page Display Settings

• 🏷️ Filter Block Label: What to call your filters (e.g., "Search Options")
• 📦 Products Block Label: What to call results section (e.g., "Available Products")
• 📐 Filter Container Orientation: Horizontal or Vertical layout
• 💰 Currency: What currency to display prices in

Results & Limits

• 📄 Products Per Page: How many results to show (e.g., 12, 24, 48)
• ⏰ Cutoff Days: Earliest bookable date
  • 0 = today, 1 = tomorrow, 2 = day after, etc.
• 📅 Min Date Range: Shortest booking length (in days)
• 📅 Max Date Range: Longest booking length (in days)

⚠️ Important: Min/Max ranges must match your product settings or they won't appear in results!

🎛️ Step 3: Set Up Search Filters

Add filters to help customers narrow down results:

Common Filter Examples:

For Each Filter:

1. Option: Choose filter type (Product Type, Vendor, or Custom for tags)
   ⚠️ Important: Options cannot contain a period (.)
2. Label: What customers see ("Category", "Brand", etc.)
3. Values: Available options (separate with commas)
4. Display As: Dropdown menu or checkboxes
5. Input Name: Leave blank unless you have custom coding

🔧 Step 4: Add Search to Your Store

After setup, add the search widget to your store:

• Use the Search Widget guide 📚
• Place search bar on homepage, product pages, or dedicated search page

👀 Step 5: Test Your Search

1. Click "View search page" button in settings
2. Try different date ranges and filters
3. Verify only available products show up
4. Test booking process from search results
